How Much Money Did Jake Paul Make
Jake Paul scores the biggest win of his career on Friday night when he outpointed former champion Mike Tyson. While many will continue to add caveats to his in-ring performance, it’s still quite a feat to defeat the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, even at 58 years old. Just as impressive is how much money Paul will take home for closing out the event.
While the event’s promoters—Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions—and the Texas Athletic Commission haven’t revealed the purses for the fighters on the card, online rumors and estimates peg Paul’s earnings for the fight at around $40 million, as Paul himself stated in an interview before the fight. Tyson, meanwhile, is in the neighborhood of $20 million, according to Tyson’s friend and former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo.
“I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend,” Paul said at a pre-fight press conference.
While Paul didn’t accomplish the latter, he certainly did the former as AT&T Stadium was packed and MVP announced they had broken the Texas record for live gate at $17.8 million. The previous record was held by Canelo Alvarez when he defeated Billy Joe Saunders inside the same stadium in 2021.
